The following links are to Lois Lenski sites that have "substantial" content. Included are those sites that provide information of value to any student or scholar of Lois Lenski as an individual or author. Excluded are those sites that are essentially listings, such as Newbery prize recipients, that include one or more Lenski works. Lois Lenski Collection at University of North Carolina Greensboro
This site includes a thorough description of the holdings, including background material, sketches, typed manuscripts for several books, artifacts, poems, articles by Miss Lenski and numerous biographical items, including tape recordings with her and her sons.

Lois Lenski Papers, Bancroft Library, University of California, Berleley
The University of California, Berkeley has a small collection of manuscripts, with galleys and original illustrations of The Life I Live. Other manuscripts, personal miscellany and numerous drawings, proofs and other illustrative material are also in the collection.

The Lois Lenski portion of this collection includes 21 illustrations, all available on the Web site. A picture from Houseboat Girl is included in the collection.

Lois Lenski Papers in the De Grummond Collection, University of Southern Mississippi
An extensive site, with a narrative Biographical Sketch of Miss Lenski and the Scope and Content of the collection. The collection includes extensive manuscript and other original material for several books, along with selected items relating to a number of other publications. There is also a small collection of artifacts. The De Grummond Collection is an extensive collection of books for children; the web site provides excellent examples of 18th and 19th century children's books.

In addition to the above sites, following is a listing of sites briefly describing collections of Lenski material.

Extensive Lenski materials are held by the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis in their Kerlan Collection, in the Edward H. Butler Library of the State University College at Buffalo, Buffalo, New York, and the University of Oklahoma, Norman. In addition, the Lenski Children's Center at the Clark County Public Library, Springfield, Ohio and California State University, Monterey Bay, might have Lenski material.
