Using Milner's Collection

In order to check out materials from Milner Library, all users must present either a valid ISU identification card or a Courtesy Card. Courtesy Cards are available free to citizens residing in the following counties: McLean, Ford, Piatt, DeWitte, Logan, Tazewell, Woodford, Livingston, and Peoria. Applications for Courtesy Cards are available at the Circulation Desk on the main floor of the Library. When applying for a courtesy card, be prepared to show a picture identification card (e.g., a valid drivers' license) and proof of address. Persons living outside the designated counties should contact their local public libraries about borrowing books through Interlibrary Loan.

The University Web site includes a campus map, driving directions, and a campus parking map. The most convenient place to park is in the pay lot behind Bone Student Center. The cost to park is $.80 per hour. If coming to campus is inconvenient, please discuss your needs with your local public library. Policies will vary, but most libraries will be able to request items for you.

Materials related to Autism are not located in any one particular location at Milner. Probably the largest number of books are located on Floor 5, but books related to Education and books for children are located on Floor 1. Remember that Milner is a large library, which makes browsing the shelves challenging. Having complete call numbers will save time.
