Milner Library has served as a selective Federal Depository for government information dating from 1858-1862, and from 1877 to the present. As a depository we provide free, public access to government information to all members of the community. We also serve as a state depository for Illinois government resources. As a Federal Depository Library we are required to follow policies and procedures consistent with federal depository regulations including posting discard lists from 2007and 2008 to other Illinois federal depositories. Top Ten Facts about Milner Federal Documents During this past year, a good portion of the Government Documents Collection moved from the main floor of the library to the fourth floor of the library. Government documents with the call number X (Congressional Globe and Congressional Record) through Y (Congressional hearings) remain on the main floor of the library, temporarily. We anticipate moving these resources to the fourth floor in early spring. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please let us know at the reference desk on the main floor of the library if you need help finding any government information, or contact the Government Documents Librarian.
