Welcome to C&I 429 Teaching with Primary Sources

Getting started:

Go to: http://ilstu.vcolr.org

To use VCOLR (Virtual Classroom for Online Learning Research), you must first create a profile and then request access.

Click on"Create Profile" (on left side)

Fill in required fields and click CREATE PROFILE at bottom

On main screen, fill in the username and password you just created

Click on "Request Access to a Course"

Select "Session" - Spring

Select "Year" - 2008

Select "View Courses"

Find the name of the class "C&I 429 Teaching with Primary Sources" and choose "Request Access"

Once you have requested access to a course, you will not be able to enter the course until you are approved by the instructor.

You will be notified by email when your request is approved and you will then be able to access the course website.

Once you have access:

Look over the Syllabus and let us know if you have questions
Under Announcements, you will find weekly reminders about course requirements and important links.
Under Outline, you will find a list of the Lessons you will be completing for the class. You will also find a link to Course Requirement and Useful Resources.
The Library contains the "How To" section.
Click on Grades to view your grade assignments.
The Drop Box allows you to upload your completed lessons. For directions on how to use the Drop box look in the "How To" section under Library.
